The position combines strategic leadership with operational oversight, ensuring regional and volunteer networks are effective, well-supported and positioned to maximise member engagement.

You will work closely with senior volunteers, committees and board members, while also managing and developing two direct reports.

• Line manage and develop two team members.
• Attend regional meetings and events as required.

About You

We're looking for someone who combines excellent stakeholder management skills with a genuine passion for working with volunteers.

You will likely bring:

• Experience working with volunteers, committees, networks or membership communities.
• Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading teams and developing colleagues.
• An understanding of governance and committee structures.
• The ability to work strategically while remaining comfortable with operational delivery.
• Experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• A proactive mindset and the confidence to identify and implement improvements.

Applications are welcome from candidates within membership bodies, professional associations, charities, institutes, not-for-profit organisations and other environments where volunteer engagement and stakeholder management are central to success.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact across a large volunteer network while shaping how engagement is delivered in the future.

You'll join an organisation with a clear sense of purpose, work with highly committed volunteers and members, and play a key role in delivering projects that support the future of the profession.

The role offers an excellent blend of strategic work, relationship management, leadership and project delivery, making it ideal for someone ready to take the next step in their career.
