Who are the Barratt Redrow Foundation?
The Barratt Foundation launched in 2021 to lead and grow charitable giving at Barratt Redrow PLC. The Barratt Redrow Foundation is an independent UK registered charity that is solely funded by an annual donation from Barratt Redrow PLC.
We support good causes across the country and donate over £4m each year to make a difference in communities all across the UK, including those where Barratt operate. Principally we make an impact through our charity partnerships and run a number of grantmaking programmes.
Our purpose is to help communities throughout the UK to thrive, focusing our support on children, young people and those most disadvantaged.
Over recent years Barratt Redrow have increased the scope and scale of its charitable giving, and through the Barratt Redrow Foundation intends to grow it still further by promoting a long term strategy to support charities, national and local, large and small, across the UK and to leave a powerful legacy in the communities in which Barratt Redrow operates. This will primarily be done through grants and charitable partnerships.

Achievements
Since the Barratt Redrow Foundation launched in January 2021 the Foundation has:
- Donated over £20m in grants to over 2,000 charities nationwide
- A track record of leading and growing charitable giving and engagement with the PLC – whilst developing the organisations governance, strategy and profile in the sector
- A compelling vision, purpose and values created following broad stakeholder engagement and endorsed by the PLC Board
- Clear objectives and priorities, signed off by the Trustees for the year ahead
- A portfolio of highly impactful charity partnerships that are positively impacting the lives of over 100,000 young people across 350+ communities each year
- Significant growth in employee involvement in fundraising and volunteering - supporting a sustained increase in participation by PLC colleagues each year
- Implemented new systems and processes that have transformed the efficiency and effectiveness of the Foundation’s grantmaking operations – including online application forms and a grant management system

After a successful one-year pilot (£300k), we renewed the partnership (£1m over 3 years). Our funding will help Place2Be deliver a whole school approach to mental health across schools across the UK and provide 1000’s of young people with easy access to mental health support, 1-2-1 counselling and a Place2Talk drop in sessions. |

£1m is being provided to enable 3,000 young people to enjoy 15,000 days of transformational outdoor learning and adventure at Outward Bound centres across England, Scotland and Wales. Outward Bound have been a longstanding partner of the PLC & Foundation. |

After a successful one-year pilot (£100k), we renewed the partnership (£450k over 3 years). This donation will help fund Bookmark’s delivery of one-to-one reading support and essential reading resources to over 1000’s children across England. |

Our partnership will help tackle youth unemployment and will fund at least 700 young people into sustained employment each year -with a further 700 young people gaining skills, qualifications and confidence through their expert youth work provision annually. |

OnSide Youth Zones |

This partnership will enable OnSide to directly support over 5,000 young people. Our funding will be integral to ensure the current Youth Zones can continue to provide high-quality youth work that will empower young people to lead positive, fulfilling lives. |
In addition to these national partnerships, the Foundation’s Partnerships & Projects Manager looks after a portfolio of grant and homelessness fund partners.
The role
This Partnerships Manager will join the Foundation in an exciting phase to lead in the delivery of charity partnerships, employee fundraising and volunteering initiatives, communications activities and Foundation projects. This is an opportunity for someone with a successful track record of managing high value corporate partnerships, projects, fundraising and volunteering initiatives to join the Barratt Redrow Foundation team.
In addition to supporting with current partners and projects, this dedicated role will be key to supporting the Head of Foundation engage Barratt Redrow employees and Divisions in charitable activities and delivering the charity partnerships and volunteering activities with charity partners.
This is a very hands-on role, delivering a broad range of partnerships, projects and activities. There is an expectation of regular travel across the 32 operating Divisions of Barratt Redrow PLC and attendance at conferences, fundraising and volunteering events.
While the work varies from team to team, Barratt Redrow’s key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts the Foundation team, the charities we support, and the wider Barratt Redrow business.
Location: London
Hybrid working – spending at least 3 days each week in the business with an expectation of splitting time between the London office, charity partners, Barratt Redrow Divisions and home.

Salary: £45,000-50,000

Responsibilities
This role will involve supporting the Head of Foundation to deliver the following:
- Partnership Management - managing a number of our national charity partnerships, setting clear objectives, maximising opportunities, monitoring and evaluating success and preparing quarterly partnership updates for the Board, highlighting partnership successes, challenges and opportunities.
- Volunteering and fundraising management - recruiting, briefing and supporting Barratt colleagues to significantly increase employee fundraising, volunteering and involvement in charitable activities across the business.
- Division and employee engagement – proactively engaging with Barratt Divisions and employees to raise the profile of the Foundation.
- Project management – leading on a number of important projects across volunteering, fundraising, governance and reporting to support the Foundation in its exciting start-up phase.
- Communications – working with the Employee Communications team to develop clear and compelling adverts, case studies and news articles of Foundation activities.

What you'll need?
To be successful in the role, we are looking for:
- Three years’ experience managing corporate /charity partnerships
- Experience in managing volunteering and fundraising activities and events
- A passion for the charity sector
- Experience of successfully managing multiple high value corporate charity partnerships and colleague engagement activities.
- Confident presenting to and securing support from all levels of stakeholders, including senior colleagues
- Ambitious, with the ability to drive improvements to how we operate
- Well organised with excellent project management skills and a can do attitude
- Experience of working independently and remotely
- Working well as part of a small, dynamic and entrepreneurial team
- Strong attention to detail and able to prioritise work to achieve deadlines
- A commitment to help deliver the Foundation’s 5 year strategy
