Ready to make a real difference every day?

Do you have exceptional communication skills and extensive customer support experience within in a charity setting?
Are you passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and supporting people in a way that truly matters?

Charity People is delighted to be partnering with British Wireless for the Blind Fund (BWBF) to recruit a Customer Service Administrator for a pivotal role at the heart of the charity’s service delivery team.

A role that really matters

BWBF is undergoing an exciting transformation. Long known for providing audio equipment, the charity is evolving into the UK’s leading technology empowerment service for people with sight loss.

As Customer Service Administrator, you’ll be the first point of contact for beneficiaries — handling calls, emails and messages with empathy and professionalism. You’ll manage referrals, maintain accurate records, and ensure smooth, efficient service delivery in collaboration with the Service Delivery Manager.

This is a role for someone who thrives on purpose, precision and people-focused work — and who wants their efforts to make a tangible difference every single day.

The impact you’ll make

  • Act as the main contact for all incoming beneficiary communications
  • Manage referrals and follow-up calls to ensure timely service delivery
  • Maintain strong relationships with referrers and partners
  • Input accurate data into the CRM system and generate reports
  • Support volunteer recruitment for the Service Delivery Department
  • Represent the charity at events and exhibitions when required

A culture built on trust, flexibility and wellbeing

BWBF understands that life doesn’t stop at the door of work. The charity is deeply committed to staff wellbeing and recognises that family responsibilities, health, caring roles or life events sometimes need to take priority.

You’ll be supported in a truly flexible, family-friendly working environment, built on:

  • Trust, not micromanagement
  • Respect for individual circumstances
  • A leadership team that genuinely listens

This is a remote-first organisation where people are trusted to do their best work in a way that works for them — and where kindness and accountability go hand in hand.

What else is on offer

  • Fully remote working with regular opportunities to connect in person
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Additional time off over the Christmas period
  • Auto-enrolment pension
  • Quarterly team meetings and occasional events
  • A supportive, mission-driven team that values collaboration and care

Inclusion at the heart of everything

BWBF is committed to equality, diversity and inclusion and strongly encourages applications from people with sight loss. Lived experience is highly valued, and reasonable adjustments will be made throughout the recruitment process and in the role itself to ensure everyone can thrive.

Application deadline: Tuesday 20th February 2026
(CV's only - please do not write a cover letter until we have shared the JD and held an informal briefing call.)

Interview: Thursday 29th and Friday 30 Janurary 2026 (online)
