Six month FTC

£36,000 - £38,000 per annum

Full-time 35 hours (28 hours considered)

Hybrid, 2-3 days in the London office (East London)

Charity People are seeking a Communications Manager to join a dynamic charitable organisation dedicated to tackling inequality and improving lives across local communities. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in raising the profile of an organisation that supports individuals and communities facing hardship, while helping inspire donors, partners and supporters through compelling communications and events.

Working in a collaborative and ambitious team, and working closely with senior colleagues, you will lead the creation and delivery of engaging content across digital and print channels.  This is an exciting role for a creative communications professional who enjoys variety, storytelling and digital engagement.

You will:

  • Create, edit, and publish engaging content across websites, newsletters, social media, reports, and other communications channels
  • Develop inspiring stories, case studies and impact-led content that showcase the difference the organisation's work is making
  • Manage and grow social media engagement through creative campaigns, imagery, and short video content
  • Monitor, analyse and report on digital performance using analytics tools
  • Support website content management and ongoing development
  • Maintain brand consistency and communications resources across the charity
  • Capture content from projects, programmes, and community activities
  • Represent the organisation at external events and networking opportunities

You will bring:

  • Experience developing and delivering communications strategies
  • Strong content creation and storytelling abilities
  • Working knowledge of communications and marketing platforms such as Mailchimp and Canva
  • Experience creating content for diverse audiences across digital and traditional media
  • Understanding of social inequality and community focused work

You will be an organised, proactive, and creative communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities effectively. This role would suit someone who is ideas driven and who is a strategic thinker.
