Are you a skilled trusts fundraiser who enjoys building meaningful relationships and crafting compelling applications that change lives?

Charity People is delighted to be working with Jewish Blind & Disabled (JBD), who are looking for a proactive and relationship-focused Trusts & Foundations Fundraising Manager to help secure sustainable income and support the charity's ambitious plans for growth.

For more than 50 years, JBD has enabled Jewish adults living with physical disabilities and visual impairment to live independently, with dignity, choice and community. As demand for its services continues to grow, fundraising plays a vital role in ensuring more people can access the support they need.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected organisation and play a leading role in developing and growing income from charitable trusts and foundations. Working closely with the Director of Fundraising and as part of a small and ambitious team, you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing and prospective funders, develop persuasive funding proposals, and deliver excellent stewardship that inspires ongoing support.

About the Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and managing a portfolio of trust and foundation supporters and prospects
  • Researching and identifying new funding opportunities, including multi-year funding opportunities for JBD’s Community Services Project
  • Producing high-quality, compelling funding applications and proposals
  • Building strong relationships with funders through excellent stewardship and communication
  • Preparing engaging reports that demonstrate impact and outcomes
  • Working collaboratively across the organisation to gather data, stories and evidence of impact

About You

We're keen to hear from fundraisers who can demonstrate:

  • A successful track record of securing five-figure gifts and grants from trusts, foundations and/or statutory funders
  • Strong proposal and report-writing skills with the ability to communicate impact clearly and persuasively
  • Experience of managing fundraising pipelines and delivering against income targets
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and genuine commitment to exceptional supporter care

Why Join JBD?

This is a chance to join an organisation with an outstanding reputation for supporting independence, dignity and choice. JBD is proud of its supportive culture and values-led approach and was recognised as Charity Employer of the Year in 2024.

Everything JBD does is guided by four core values:

Truth & Integrity (Emet) – doing what is right, being accountable and professional.
Respect (Kavod) – treating others with dignity and respect.
Fairness (Tzedek) – being open-minded, inclusive and fair.
Kindness (Chesed) – showing compassion, empathy and care.

If these values resonate with you and you're looking for a fundraising role where you can see the direct impact of your work, we'd love to hear from you.
