representatives (regional advisers (RAs) new consultants and SAS doctors, resident doctors and student and foundation year doctors) as well as the college tutor and associate college tutors. Our networks connect physicians around the country to the work of the RCP and acts as a conduit to feed-back nation-specific information to the RCP’s college officers and staff. You will advise on and organise a range of training, teaching and engagement activities across Severn, Peninsula and Wessex.

What you’re responsible for

 Act as the main key contact for membership engagement activities for Severn, Peninsula and Wessex including development of programmes for the updates in medicine. Working closely with the regional advisers and regional representatives, to ensure local members are supported through regional activity.

 Establish and maintain effective working relationships with external key stakeholders, networks, healthcare professionals, and training providers to plan and develop future training opportunities for physicians and maintain a positive image of the RCP.

 Establish and develop working relationships with relevant external organisations in the regions such as NHSE, local postgraduate education teams, and special interest groups

 Develop and manage the regional presidential trust visits liaising with trusts and senior officers to facilitate.

 Develop local New Consultants Forum meetings in the region(s).

 Support the work on the virtual poster competition working alongside the Regional Manager who leads the project.

 Work with the SAS lead, Nations manager and the deputy head of UK regions to develop an SAS network across England, Wales and Northern Ireland and support other regional managers in this activity.

 Develop the regional networks in the regions you represent – new consultants, SAS doctors, resident doctors, SFDN, CT/ACT network.

 Manage the administration of new and demitting college tutors and associate college tutors within the region(s).

 Support others within the regional team in developing good practice and improving service delivery and collaborate across the RCP to identify and capitalise on opportunities to further develop the RCP networks.

 Manage the approval process of job descriptions for Wessex region and liaise with the AAC unit to provide a consistent approach.

 Work collaboratively with the Regional Services Team supporting their activities as required.

 Establish links with non-member physicians within the region to ensure that they are informed of local RCP activities and promote the benefits of becoming a member.

 Maintain and improve professional knowledge and competence, maintaining appropriate knowledge of RCP systems, such as CRM and MS office applications.

 Attend regional team meetings and other RCP activities in London or Liverpool and take an active role in these events.

As Social Media Coordinator, you will live and breathe all things social media, understanding its potential contribution to achieving our mission.

You'll lead all activities across our Facebook, X, Instagram, Threads, YouTube, and LinkedIn, as well as keeping an eye out for opportunities elsewhere on social media. ROLE PURPOSE

We support current, former and retired civil servants when they face tough times. From mental

health struggles and financial assistance to relationship issues, getting through grief, and coping

with disability, we’re here to help people stay strong, whatever life brings. Inspiring and growing

new support and sustainable income is vital to achieving this goal and ensuring the sustainability

of our services.

Our supporters are the lifeblood of the Charity, most being current or former civil servants

themselves. It’s thanks to their support that we can continue to be there when those who have

provided vital services to the public need us most. To do this we need to increase awareness and

income generation, inspiring new supporters to give to us regularly.

Working alongside colleagues across the Charity, the Individual Giving Manager for Acquisition

will play a key role in driving growth in new supporters and income, innovating, developing and

delivering products and campaigns that inspire our audiences and underpinning the Charity’s

work through growing our sustainable income.

KEY ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Objectives

• Supported by the Head of Individual Giving and Legacy, and working with your team, you

will drive the development and implementation of a multi-channel acquisition strategy.

This will drive lead generation and acquisition of new supporters, growing the charity’s

base of supporters, planning, testing and refining approaches to build a scalable

programme which delivers volume whilst maximising long-term ROI.

• Identify opportunities to engage key audiences at moments that matter, such as

inductions, promotions, training and development programmes, transfers, secondments

and retirements, working in collaboration with colleagues and in partnership with external

stakeholders to design and implement new approaches.

• Work with colleagues at the Charity, Civil Service and payroll fundraising agencies to

improve the ease of giving.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with organisational processes and develop strong project governance to launch

supporter acquisition activities across our product range, including but not limited to;

Direct Mail, email, telemarketing, social & digital activity and events.

• Manage the Supporter Acquisition budget, ensuring income and expenditure budgets and

forecasts are achieved with any critical variances being reported promptly.

• Working with the Supporter Engagement team develop and implement a cross-channel

programme of regular impact stewardship for new donors designed to engage, retain and

inspire future support, with a focus on our payroll and direct debit donors.

• Work with the Supporter Engagement team to implement key cross-sell opportunities to

our current donors through insight-driven customer journeys.

• Manage and grow the Charity’s payroll giving programme and represent the Charity as

needed in key sector forums on payroll giving.

• Manage the Donor Acquisition Officer to continue to expand our lottery programme as

well as introduce new methods of engagement.

• Support and collaborate with colleagues across the fundraising team to maximise

opportunities and performance. This will include opportunities such as campaign

moments across the year.

report on and evolve our approach to ensure we deliver an acquisition programme that

What we do Good Law Project (GLP) is a not-for-profit campaign organisation which uses the law to hold power to account and fight for a fairer, greener future. We take on the cases and campaigns where we’ll have the biggest impact, even when the odds are stacked against us.

We had a primary role in overturning the prorogation of Parliament in 2019. We successfully challenged the Government’s operation of a fast track ‘VIP lane’ for awarding lucrative PPE contracts to those with political connections and our campaigning played a key role in the Met Police opening an investigation into Boris Johnson over the Partygate scandal. In July 2023, we forced the Government to accept that its flagship Net Zero strategy is unlawful and to develop a better plan.
