Are you an experienced charity marketing professional who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery?
Charity People are looking for an experienced marketing professional who can quickly get to grips with a complex and varied organisation, review existing activity, identify opportunities for improvement and work alongside colleagues to put plans into action.
This is a unique opportunity to join Trinity Hospice & Brian House at a time of huge growth and development, to help shape the future of marketing and communications function for a much-loved hospice charity that provides vital care and support to adults, children and families across Blackpool, Fylde, and Wyre.
Trinity Hospice & Brian House are a vibrant hospice charity providing compassionate care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, both in the hospice and in their own homes. Committed to reaching everyone who needs them, they work to ensure high-quality palliative care is accessible to all, while relying on the generosity of supporters and fundraising to deliver our vital services. They believe in helping people live well and encouraging open, compassionate conversations about death, dying and bereavement.
Marketing and communications sit at the heart of the organisation, supporting fundraising, retail, events, patient services, staff communications, digital content, and organisational campaigns. As the charity reviews its future communications structure, this interim role will play a key part in strengthening activity, supporting colleagues, and helping shape future priorities and direction for the marketing and communications function.
This role requires a senior marketing professional with strong campaign planning and delivery experience. You will bring the confidence and experience needed to review existing activity, challenge constructively, and introduce fresh ideas, while remaining pragmatic and delivery focused.
Key responsibilities:
- Reviewing and enhancing marketing plans for major fundraising events in 2027
- Identifying new opportunities to grow participation, income, and supporter engagement
- Reviewing retail marketing activity across a network of 36 charity shops
- Developing practical recommendations to increase visibility and donations
- Supporting wider communications campaigns, publications, and content
- Helping prepare for significant upcoming initiatives, including a major capital appeal and public art trail
- Providing strategic insight while supporting day-to-day delivery across the team
You will bring:
- Experience leading or reviewing integrated marketing and communications activity
- A strong track record of delivering successful multi-channel campaigns
- Experience of fundraising, supporter engagement, events, or retail marketing
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across multiple teams
- Strong project management and prioritisation skills
- Experience operating successfully in busy, fast paced environments
- A collaborative and flexible approach, with a willingness to get involved at every level
This role would suit someone who is comfortable developing strategy, creating campaigns, and rolling up their sleeves to get things done.
If you are a creative, commercially aware, and hands-on marketing professional who thrives on variety and want to use your skills to make a genuine difference, Charity People would love to hear from you.
