We are so pleased to be partnering with Catalyst Support to help them find a Senior Manager, Community Wellbeing Service, this is a newly shaped senior leadership role with real opportunity to influence how community support is delivered across Surrey.

As one of Surrey's leading wellbeing charities, Catalyst works alongside individuals and communities to improve mental, physical and emotional health, creating accessible support that changes lives and strengthens local communities. Guided by kindness, integrity and collaboration, they are now looking for an ambitious and values-led Senior Manager to lead an important portfolio of community wellbeing services. Leading a portfolio that includes Community Connections, Safe Haven and Counselling services, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple services, ensuring they are connected, high-quality and responsive to local need. More than service management, this role is about creating a genuinely joined-up approach to community wellbeing, shaping pathways, building partnerships and ensuring people can access the right support at the right time.

You'll work closely with the Director of Services and wider leadership team to embed a "One Catalyst" approach, bringing services together around a shared vision and operating model. You'll also play a pivotal role externally, developing relationships across the VCSE sector, statutory services and local communities, ensuring Catalyst remains a trusted and influential partner across Surrey.

They are looking for an experienced leader with a background in community services, mental health, social care, wellbeing or related fields. You'll bring experience of leading teams and services in complex environments, strong safeguarding expertise and a track record of building meaningful partnerships that improve outcomes for people and communities.

Equally important is your leadership style. You'll be someone who can hold strategic oversight whilst remaining visible and connected to frontline delivery. You'll enjoy working collaboratively, navigating complexity and supporting teams through change with clarity, empathy and purpose.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking an ambitious, creative and highly organised event leader who thrives on turning great ideas into exceptional experiences. You will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality events, achieving ambitious commercial and fundraising targets, and building strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Equally comfortable developing strategy and rolling up your sleeves to deliver flawless event execution, you will bring the energy, entrepreneurial mindset and attention to detail needed to drive growth across our events portfolio.

As a manager, you will lead and develop our Event & Fundraising Specialist, providing coaching, support and professional development while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture. You will also play an active role in supporting our individual fundraising programme and championing a ‘one team’ approach across the organisation.

Success in this role will require strong commercial awareness, budget management expertise and the confidence to negotiate, influence and present to senior stakeholders, partners and Board members. About the role

As our Corporate Fundraiser, you’ll support the delivery of Zoe’s Place overall income generation strategy, by developing a portfolio of corporate supporters at Zoe’s Place Middlesbrough to deliver long term sustainable income growth.

You’ll do this through providing excellent stewardship to newly established corporate relationships and identifying opportunities to grow current partnerships. This role is all about opening doors and generating new opportunities for support. You’ll support the delivery of events on behalf of the hospice for both existing and potential relationships, and you’ll also represent the hospice in external networking events, delivering presentations, and clearly communicating the hospice’s case for support.

About you

This role would suit a natural relationship builder and networking superstar.

Charity People are delighted to be partnering with Mind in Enfield and Barnet, a fast-growing charity in North London, to recruit a Forensic Advocate.

Mind in Enfield and Barnet provides much needed therapy, wellbeing support and advocacy services to people with mental health problems.

The Advocacy, Advice and Information department works to empower people and communities, and challenge stigma and disadvantage caused by Mental Health problems. They champion individual’s voices, uphold their rights, and promote personal autonomy through the provision of high-quality information, advice, and advocacy support.

The Forensic Advocate will provide professional advocacy to all eligible patients. The role will ensure that patients voices are heard and respected, rights upheld, and facilitate positive engagement with ward staff, professionals involved in their care, treatment planning processes, and relevant meetings. This may be facilitated through attendance at patient’s forums, ward meetings, working with patients on a one-to-one basis providing information, representation and support to develop self-advocacy skills; and developing new forums and forms of support.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver High-Quality Patient Advocacy: Provide professional, inclusive advocacy to inpatients and community-based clients, ensuring their rights are upheld and concerns are addressed through direct support, representation at clinical meetings, and regular engagement.
• Maintain Casework and Service Standards: Manage an active caseload, ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping, compliance with legal frameworks (e.g. Mental Health Act), and adherence to organisational standards and procedures.
• Develop Collaborative Partnerships and Outreach: Build effective relationships with ward staff, carers, peer advocates, and external agencies, coordinate monthly outreach clinics, and contribute to forums and community meetings to promote service integration.
• Support Training, Development, and Service Improvement: Co-develop training for peer advocates, staff, and carers, promote self-advocacy, participate in service development, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices.

The successful candidate will have some experience of working in a Forensic Advocacy role, as well as working in an Inpatient setting, and in an Advocacy role. You will have good knowledge of Mental Health Act 2007, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other relevant legislation.

You also be able to demonstrate the following skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
• Ability to produce well -written reports and meet deadlines
•  Ability to communicate clearly and assertively with a diverse range of colleagues and clients at all levels
• Be self-motivated
• Approachable and able to engage service users, placing boundaries when required
• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office & Database Packages

This role is providing specialist advocacy for 12 Forensic Wards at Chase Farm Hospital and in community locations, covering six roles each with a 2nd advocate. 

This is an on-site role.
